Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScaleXI Crew ("the Service"), operated by ScaleX Innovation ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScaleXI Crew is an AI-powered project management platform that provides autonomous AI employees for software development teams. The Service is available as:

  • Community Edition — self-hosted, open source under AGPL-3.0, free of charge
  • Cloud SaaS — hosted at crew.scalexi.ai with paid subscription tiers
  • Enterprise — self-hosted or managed, with commercial license

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and invoicing.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the billing period ends
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice
  • Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions automatically

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Reverse engineer any part of the Service (except as permitted by AGPL-3.0 for Community Edition)
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product
  • Share your account credentials with third parties

6. Intellectual Property

The Community Edition source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0. Enterprise features (in the backend/enterprise/ directory) are proprietary and require a commercial license. The ScaleXI name, logo, and branding are trademarks of ScaleX Innovation.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. For the self-hosted Community Edition, all data remains on your infrastructure — we have no access to it.

8. API Keys and Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party APIs (GitHub, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). You are responsible for complying with those services' terms. API keys you provide are stored securely and used only to operate the Service on your behalf.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ScaleX Innovation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting support@scalexi.ai.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
